A unique collection of Shmee’s work will be featured in the upcoming production Degeneration X, presented by Perf Productions. The original story follows Xavier, a young artist coping with the blindness and hallucinations that accompany Charles Bonnet Syndrome. Along with Shmee’s illustrations, Degeration X uses live performance, film, motion graphics, and music to chronicle the different pockets of one man’s neurosystem. As Xavier drives through his condition, the audience takes front seat on a surreal and rousing ride through the human mind. Degeneration X experiments with the light, the dark, the absurd and the unexplainable aspects of the human condition.

Shmee brought The Shmeasel to Governor's Island for Figment NYC!

Shmee wore a sandwich board easel and invited everyone to share artistic flare. No fine art required - just honest, colorful expression. As The Shmeasel moved through the community, more expression was inspired and the artwork continued to transform. Life itself is a work of art, and every interaction we share makes its mark. A monstrous thanks to everyone who contributed to the community art!
